AFL community round supports our local medical research
Saturday, 28 June Hawks v Roos community round is a family-friendly match with children under 14 granted free entry.
Clifford Craig Foundation is thrilled to be named charity partner for the Hawthorn versus North Melbourne community round at University of Tasmania Stadium on Saturday, 28 June twilight game.
“Our Medical Research Appeal supports local clinicians in Northern Tasmania to participate in translational medical research on topics impacting the community most,” said Chief Executive Officer, Vanessa Cahoon.
All proceeds from donations at the entry gates and the game day raffle will go directly to the Medical Research Appeal, seeking to grant more research projects in 2025 at the launch of its Clifford Craig Research & Innovation Centre within the Launceston General Hospital precinct later this year.
Hawthorn Football Club, North Melbourne Football Club, and Northern Tasmanian Football Association are throwing their support behind fundraising efforts, with raffle donations and fundraising support.
“Community rounds really bring the spirit of footy to the forefront and we’re delighted to be spotlighting the impact our local health professionals make in Tasmania by supporting Clifford Craig Foundation in this way,” Hawthorn Football Club’s Tasmanian Operations Manager, David Cox, said.
All donations over $2 are tax deductible. More information on the Medical Research Appeal can be found here.
